A Summer Cottage By the Sea

Every now and again, I receive a newsletter from Nicole Gulotta, and I find a few words that inspire me. I started following Nicole after reading her book Wild Words: Rituals, Routines, and Rhythms for Braving the Writer’s Path. It is one of those books you want to pick up when you need to get the words flowing again…when you want to tap into new and wild ideas.

In today’s newsletter, the passage above resonated right away. It reminded me of a summer cottage we stayed in last summer by the sea. It held all the feeling she mentions, slowness, plenty of white space, as much leisure as you can access, and long lingering moments rinsing fresh fruit over the sink with a view to the sea. I would like to share a few of those photos. Perhaps it will spark memories of a special place for you as well.

I captured the quiet moments around the house, the soft light, the stillness of the day, and the secret spaces with a view of the sea.

Thank you for reading along!

Jeanne :))
