Embracing the Hippie...
I am in a hippie state of mind, a place I haven’t been since my teenage years. I have a friend, Carolyn, to thank for it. She asked if I had heard of the Hippie Stick and flashbacks to my early hippie days started popping like the 4th of July fireworks. From that moment on I could think of nothing else. Carolyn mentioned Bobbi Brown and Jones Road and I was off on a googling whirlwind.

If not, it is Bobbi Brown’s recent venture back into the beauty world, post selling her Bobbi Brown makeup brand to Estee Lauder a few years back. You have to love this super talented sixty-ish woman, rocking a new brand, in hippie style. I bought the Hippie Stick, in fact, I bought a few. It is an “everywhere balm” made from sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, and shea butter. It smells divine and will be a game-changer for dry skin this winter. So, I went a little crazy after the Hippie Stick and bought a few more things. I wrote a review below.
“It started with the wonderfully fragrant and moisturizing Hippie Stick and I was sold. The face and eye creams provide a lovely summer and winter balance and work well with the Face Sticks. The Miracle Balms are AMAZING! Lips, face, eyes…I love that one product can do it all. Dusty Rose and Bronze are my shades. The customer service is excellent. I sent in a few photos of myself in natural light. The team was quick to suggest Face Stick and Miracle Balm colors that would best suit my skin tones. At 64, I feel I have finally found the perfect match. I have always put my faith in Bobbi, she has never steered me wrong. Bravo on the new line! May it grow and flourish and remain in her creative, guiding hands.”
I bought it all online, something I wouldn't have done pre-Covid days. Bobbi provides tutorials on her site to get you through the process and helps you match your skin type to her products. I was a little stuck and wrote to ask their advice. The team requested photos of my face in natural light, make-up-free. Within two days they wrote back with their suggestions. This is what I love about small businesses, service!

The gorgeous Catherine Robinson is wearing her Oatmeal Cashmere Turtleneck Pouch and now I am wearing it too. I am a poncho/cape/turtleneck girl from way back. This is the ultimate snuggle of warmth.
Speaking of snuggle, I also bought the Cashmere Ribbed Snood in Soft Navy for those biting winter days when you want to rug up for extra warmth. I highly recommend the Cashmere Oversized Wrap in Dark Navy. I purchased it a few years ago for international travel, it still looks as lovely as the day I bought it.
